The Soldotna Library Friends is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing funding for library programs and enhancements at the Soldotna Public Library.

• PROGRESS DAYS PARADE on Saturday July 26th was great - the weather could not have been better.  The Friends held their annual BAKE SALE along the parade route in front of the library. We earned enough money to fund next years Summer Reading Program. A GIANT THANK YOU TO THE BAKERS WHO DONATED BAKED GOODS. We couldn't do this without you. 
• A USED BOOK SALE was held inside the library that same day. This sale was also very successful.  All money earned goes to support programs at the library. 
• The Friends donated several boxes of children's books to the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce S'mores and Stories event at Soldotna Creek Park. Kids got a marshmallow treat and a free book to take home.
• The library partnered with the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce for the COLOR FUN RUN held on June 4th. Participants got to decorate a t-shirt on June 3rd then wear it for the RUN. The Friends sponsored this event by helping purchase the t-shirts.
• 2025 Summer Reading Program "COLOR OUR WORLD" for all ages has ended. Turn in your progress by August 23 to the staff and you'll be entered into the drawing for prizes. 
• The Friends purchased a Button Maker for the library to use in their programs.
