Latest news:

  • Checkout the 2024 Soldotna Visitor Guide - our library's ad on page 39 has information for both visitors and locals. This ad was funded by the Friends.
  • The Friends purchased CHESS SETS for the CHESS MEET-UP held on Mondays from 3-5 pm (All Ages)
  • In January, the Friends received several generous donations from our community:
    • $500 to support the reading of banned books from a community member. The Banned Book Club meets monthly at the library.
    • $2,000 from a local business owner in response to recent controversy over the use of the Community Room. He supports keeping the Community Room an inclusive space where freedom of speech can be exercised.
    • $1,270 donation received from QCD (Qualified Charitable Donation) from a community member.
    • Various donations received from members included in their membership renewal.
  • Summer Reading Program information is coming soon.


Progress Days Bake Sale:

Our annual bake sale held during the Progress Days Parade was a huge success. Thank you to all of the people who donated homemade baked goods. Thank you to Starbucks for donating coffee and iced tea and to Fred Meyers for donating their super soft yummy cookies. 

And thank you to our volunteers - we couldn't have done this without you. All money raised helps fund programs at our library.
